About the Collection
For Pre-Fall 2013, rag & bone have reworked signature styles incorporating the brand's clean lines and trademark tailoring to create essential, transitional city-wear pieces. rag & bone's penchant for contrasting hard and soft is evidenced in the silhouettes as feminine A-line shapes drawn from SS 2013 are juxtaposed with slim straight and menswear inspired fits. Casual luxe is embodied in the collection's silk drawstring pants. The androgynous lean continues with classic button downs while the season's print is inspired by a men's tie.
As is customary with all rag & bone collections, Pre-Fall plays with experimental fabrics and unexpected textures. Graphic eyelets and macramé are major details this season. A 3D mesh, inspired from the digital map of SS 13, and a lightweight custom tweed by Malhia Kent are introduced. Leather features heavily, rendered in button downs and shift dresses. Complementing the collection's minimalistic aesthetic, the palette is grounded in black, white, mint, navy and saffron.
