A pioneering and enduring art world enfant terrible, Yayoi Kusama is exhibiting at David Zwirner New York for the second time. In her mid-80s, the Japanese artist's popularity shows no signs of waning - her 2013 exhibition I Who Have Arrived At Heaven famously drew eight-hour long lines at the Chelsea gallery.
Now, Give Me Love features new pieces from the My Eternal Soul series, but the child in us is most excited about the US debut of Kusama's legendary interactive installation, The Obliteration Room, which invites visitors to slowly transform the originally white space using a sheet of polka-dot stickers until it "obliterates" in color.
A truly fascinating figure, read more about Kusama's story here.
Give Me Love runs until June 13th at 519 and 525 West 19th Street.
